She is currently conducting an Honours thesis under the supervision of Martine H\u00e9bert, Ph.D. and Louise Cossette, Ph.D. She is interested in the repercussions of traumas, such as neglect, physical and sexual abuse in children. Her thesis will focus on the emotional recognition of child victims of sexual abuse who have witnessed domestic violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">During her CEGEP years, Val\u00e9ry had the opportunity to work on a research project focusing on adolescents under the care of the Youth Protection Services. This is when her interest in research and intervention with vulnerable youth first developed.
