New master’s student – Amélie Mendes

Amélie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Université de Montréal. This fall, she undertakes a master’s degree in sexology at the Université du Québec à Montréal under the supervision of Mylène Fernet, Ph.D. and Martine Hébert, Ph.D. As part of her master’s degree, she will be working on the Youth Ambassadors component of the SPARKX Project, a new dating violence prevention and healthy romantic relationships promotion program. Dr. Hébert’s expertise in quantitative methods combined with Dr. Fernet’s expertise in qualitative methods will allow Amélie to successfully complete her master’s thesis.

For several years now, sex education has been a subject of great importance to Amélie. Her involvement with the Sexperts organization, which offers sex education workshops, has made her discover a new passion.
