The purpose of the study was to examine the role of mothers’ psychological distress, posttraumatic stress symptoms, and dissociation symptoms in the association between mothers’ childhood sexual abuse and the functioning of sexually abused children (i.e., internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems, dissociation symptoms).
