Student Portrait- Élizabeth
Élizabeth completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the Université de Montréal, during which she conducted an honours thesis focusing on the moderating role of intimacy in the relationship between infertility-related stress and marital satisfaction in couples followed in a fertility clinic.
She is now undertaking a Ph.D in psychology under the direction of Martine Hébert, Ph.D. As part of her doctoral thesis, she is interested in the relationship between violence in adolescents’ past romantic relationships and the relational and individual consequences in their current romantic relationships. When asked why she chose to work under Dr. Hébert’s direction, Élizabeth says that she is honoured to be part of a research team that is working to develop knowledge and interventions that will help many teenage victims of violence in their romantic relationships. She also appreciates the collaboration between the members of the laboratory team as well as the availability and passion that drives Dr. Hébert.
Élizabeth also contributes to other ongoing projects in the laboratory, notably the development of the Étincelles program.
Welcome to the team Élizabeth!
